Free advertising? How many ways can you get free web site advertising? No one knows for sure.
Nowadays, getting something for free is too much to ask for. When it comes to advertising, this is not the case. There are still many ways web site owners can use to obtain that free advertising they wanted.

Below are some exceptional ways in obtaining free advertising to get you started.

1. Online classified advertisements.

Search “free advertising” or “free ads” and you will find there are many places that you can advertise for free.
Place a few ads, then check your reports to see if they are bringing in traffic. Start regularly using the ones that deliver.

2. Link exchanges.
Link exchanges with other web sites help you get free traffic in two ways: traffic directly from the other site, and traffic from the search engines.
The link helps your ranking with them. Find sites that have a theme similar or related to yours, and send out nice e-mails suggesting an exchange.

3. Post in discussion forums.
This can be a great source of traffic for some sites. You just talk about things of interest to you and get free advertising to your web site.

You should have your own opt-in list and be in communication with your subscribers on a regular basis. Some webmasters send out a full e-mail newsletter, with the contents in the newsletter. Others just send a notification that the newsletter is available to read online.

5. Submit to directories.
First do a search for niche directories for the topic of your website. Many general directories also accept submissions for free.
The value of directories is not direct traffic, however. But the real value is in the links, which help your ranking and advertising with the search engines.

6. Write and submit testimonials.

Sometimes it really is better to give than receive.
Internet marketers are always on the lookout for testimonials. It lends them credibility.
The next time you use a product or service that you genuinely like, send the supplier a testimonial. Include a link to your website. If they use your testimonial, they will almost certainly include the link. This way, your customers can verify that you are a real person.
Depending on the product and the type of website that you have, you could even host a review on your site. You would be highly likely to get a link using this method.
Only endorse products that you are genuinely happy with. Remember, your name will be associated with it, so make sure it is a good one.

7. Submit articles.

This is one of the best ways to generate free web site traffic. An article is valuable because of the “resource box,” or “about the author box” at the bottom, where there is always a link. If the article leaves you intrigued and wanting more, you might click through. This is a great way to generate free advertising.

The visitors that you get in this manner have already read your work and know about your site. So they are highly targeted.
All you have to do is submit articles on your chosen topic to one or more of the free article banks available and content hungry webmasters will use your work on their sites and in their newsletters. It is amazing how quickly these can be distributed around the Internet.
These are just some of the steps to get free advertising in order to get more traffic to your sire. Some of the steps are easy while some are not. It may take time to implement them but it is well worth investing a little time and effort.

Choosing the right affiliate program

Affiliate marketing has grown in popularity over the years. Reasons that are both in favor of the affiliate merchant and marketer can attain for this.
Merchants can have as many marketers as they can get that is paid in behalf of the results they bring in. And affiliate marketers can easily get into their own business even if they have limited budget set aside for it.
Besides that, affiliate programs nowadays are equipped with marketing tools and capabilities. You only have to get into one program and start your campaign without the hassles and requirements that other kind of business might have.
With all these benefits up for grabs, the only thing needed considering is how you can go about selecting the best affiliate program out there.
What should you look for in choosing the perfect affiliate program for you?

1. The demand for the affiliate product or service.
Is the affiliate program getting the traffic it deserved? You should have a definite answer for this question before you get into that program. Try to research how much traffic the program is receiving and how much it is continuously getting.
There are tools over the Internet which can help you determine the traffic an affiliate program is getting. Usually, you will find a list of websites that are ranked according to their traffic. An affiliate program is already getting a lot of traffic and has probably more affiliates if they are ranked in the top 100,000.
But if it is ranked below 500,000, it could only mean two things. One is that the site is not doing good and two, this may just be the opportunity you are looking for.

Always do your research beforehand so you will end up with a goldmine.

2. The amount of commission being paid.
It is important that you should know how much a program would pay you for a sale. Obviously, it will be a waste of time and effort promoting one that does not pay its affiliates well. You will end up spending more than you will be getting.

It is best to go with an affiliate program that gives high commissions. The best programs can offer up to 50% commission. Others less than that is not a good idea. Just think about the cost of advertising you have to endure.

3. The frequency of commission payments.
The payment modes in affiliate programs vary greatly. Some pays on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. It is vital that you when the payments to have control of your expenses. If you have the financial capacity to continue marketing the product then the payment modes will not be that important to you.

You should also know the minimum sales required in order to get your commission. There are affiliate programs that do not give out payments unless you have acquired a specific limit amount. Check out affiliate programs that pay you as soon as you have made a sale. Those are the best options.

marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing
to work in the online Affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three
marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in
the Affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing.
Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best
to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial
understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include
testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these
customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on
the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them
on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and
include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers

who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they
do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person
who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will
be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines
and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target
customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length.
By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100
targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your
services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day,
that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about
it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several Affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining
a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
